A Very Precious Gift | Maryland Fine Art & Newborn Photographer

Do you remember baby Savannah's story?  I was able to get her in front of my camera yet again about 2 weeks after her birth.  Still so tiny and yet soooo feisty!  Not sure what this trend with feisty babies is about lately, but they all seem to have something else in mind when I come to play!

To be honest with you - she taught me a few things.  Remember I said that it was her birth that taught me a big lesson?  2 weeks later, she did it again.  This baby just didn't want to sleep!  It may seem like that wasn't true, but she just wasn't happy unless she was right with Mom.  And you know what?  That's ok. Why shouldn't it be?  Why should I have something specific in mind and force the issue if baby isn't happy?  I would have missed out on things like this.

I will still offer traditional posed newborn shots to clients, but only to an extent.  My heart leaps at the emotion driven images I get when there are connections shown between people.  And people tend to let these emotions out so much easier with their newborns!

Congratulations again Mom and Dad on your little miracle!

What a beautiful session... this is the direction I want to head. It's ok that they don't sleep... much more about the baby. Beautiful my friend
