I am really excited to officially announce the newest addition to kg.leaf photography - birth photography! I have really fallen in love (hard) for this type of imagery, and I am anxious to continue building this area of my portfolio. How about a special?
In case you're wondering exactly what birth photography is, here's an overview:
It's about hard work.
It's about support.
It's about emotion.
It's about a love so big and strong you didn't realize it was possible.
It's about new life, new beginnings and new hope.
But mostly, it's about a new chapter in your family's story. And nothing is more precious than that.
Whether you are having a natural birth or a planned c-section, birth photography can capture images you will cherish for years to come. There are a few things you need to know before considering birth photography:
-contact your hospital and make sure you understand their photography policy. Some hospitals do not allow photography during the actual delivery, some may not allow it at all. This will be a big determining factor in whether or not birth photography is for you.
-make sure you understand your hospital's visitor policy. Some hospitals place a number on how many people can be with mom in the labor and delivery room. If there is a limit, as your birth photographer I will count as one of your visitors. Please be aware of this.
-birth photography is about capturing your story as it happens. Just as there are no guarantees in labor, there are no guarantees with birth photography. I cannot promise certain shots. What I capture depends on labor progression and most importantly your baby's health. I will be honoring any hospital requests to shut my camera off. While I cannot guarantee specific shots - I can promise that you will love the story you see through my eyes.
This special is for anyone that is currently pregnant and planning on delivering in 2012. Space is limited, so please contact me today if you are interested in booking! You can see more birth photography images on my website www.kgleafphotography.com under the birth gallery.
