Or maybe I should say ROANOKE photographer! I was away on vacation the last week of May visiting family in the Roanoke, VA area. I was able to rope my sister Ashley into some shooting time while I was out scouting locations. I love the area, there are so many beautiful fields with gorgeous scenery and so many awesome urban locations too! I ended up with a lot to share since we took our time with this shoot, it ended up being spread out over 2 days.

On our first day we went field scouting. I absolutely love this field. On a clear day you can see the mountains so crystal clear, and you can tell that some are closer than others by the varying colors.







There are lots of run down and abandoned houses surrounding these fields, all of which were fun to take advantage of!









Our second day was downtown Roanoke for urban spots. Even though I love how Frederick County is pretty good at keeping buildings up to date, having spots that were a bit more run down make for such beautiful shooting locations! It's fun finding the beauty in things you would normally walk right by.

I was able to rope her into some shots too! Two girls under 20 = giggling and fun!





I'll be heading back again in July to do Alyssa's official senior pictures. I cannot wait to find more fun locations and making fun memories with her!
