At long last - Maryland | DC Metro | Frederick County Portrait Photographer

This session was long overdue! It had been in the works for months, and we just had a string of bad luck getting this thing set up and done. But at long last, the trash the dress session is here!

Traditionally, trash the dress sessions are for new brides to symbolize to their husbands that their dress will never be needed again. And have a little fun too. But my very dear friend and I were taking a different approach. This was a way to signify a coming of her own, an emerging if you will. A way to show that she still came out on top. And even though we didn't actually "trash" her dress (it was far too cold to get into the river after all!), we had a lot of fun playing. Despite all my hacking (still trying to kick this cold)!
