For some reason, I never get the sleepy newborns. They always like to be wide awake and in the mix when I'm around. While under two weeks of age is the standard for newborn shots, I stress to my clients that up to 7 days is really best. I know that's a very short window - but having them a little less alert really does make everyone's life a bit easier - including yours.
Little M was nearly 2 weeks old when we were able to get together. And though his session took longer than normal, we ended up with some perfect images!
Congrats M and C, hopefully we'll be able to get together again when he's a few months older and ready for smiling in his portraits!
